Dog and Puppy Training

I offer comprehensive training sessions for dogs and puppies of all ages. The charge for this service is per hour, and in some cases no prior consultation is necessary. I offer training at three different levels; Basic, Intermediate and Experienced and, unlike other dog trainers, the fee is the same no matter what your training requirements.

Before the training session you will be asked to fill out a Client History form (T01) so that I have the chance to review the dog’s history prior to the training session. At this time you will also have the opportunity to make specific training requests. All sessions include a full breakdown of the training methods to be employed, through practical demonstrations and in writing. Information will also be given on different training aids which may be of use in the future, and you will have the opportunity to ask questions and request further information relevant to the training of your dog.

At the end of the session I will give you an e-mail address at which I can be reached directly should you have any problems with the training techniques, or if any behavioural problems should arise in the future. Any further sessions will be charged at the normal rate, but e-mail support is available at no extra cost.

I cannot provide training sessions for more than one dog at a time.

This is because every dog learns in a different way and requires individual attention. If your dog has specific behavioural problems, you must select the behaviour correction option from the Services page.

PLEASE NOTE: At Siriusly Dogs I only utilize positive reward techniques as a method of behaviour correction and training. I do not condone the use of any negative training methods, which include verbal and/or physical reprimands, the use of shock/prong collars and the use of choke chains, among other things. My training methods are based on the understanding that positive reinforcement produces positive results.
